Privacy Policy
Ascentral LLC · Last updated: April 25, 2026
Ascentral LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the ForemanBidiOS application and its companion marketing website (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored and shared, and the rights you have over your data.
By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
What information we collect
We collect only the information needed to provide, improve, and support the Service. That falls into four categories:
Account & profile information
- Name and email address (used to create and identify your account)
- Business name and trade type (optional, used to personalize bid templates)
- Profile photo (optional, displayed on generated PDF bids)
Project and job data
- Job names, addresses, and notes you enter
- Line-item descriptions, quantities, prices, and bid totals
- PDF bid documents you generate
- Client names and email addresses you supply for sending bids
Media and sensor data
- Photographs you capture or import within the app (stored on-device and, if iCloud Backup is enabled, in your personal iCloud account)
- LiDAR scan data and room-dimension captures (stored on-device; used solely to generate measurements for your bids)
- Job-site location (city/county level, derived from GPS coordinates you grant permission for; used to look up applicable building codes and local material pricing — precise coordinates are not logged to our servers)
Device and technical data
- Device model and iOS version (to support compatibility)
- App version and session identifiers
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs (collected via Sentry; see Third Parties below)
- Anonymous usage events (e.g., which screens are visited) collected via Vercel Analytics on the marketing website
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the Service (generating bids, syncing project data, delivering PDFs)
- Fetch live material pricing from supplier APIs on your behalf
- Look up building codes and permit requirements relevant to your job-site jurisdiction
- Diagnose and fix bugs using crash-report data
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests
- Improve the Service through aggregated, de-identified usage analytics
- Process payments when billing is enabled (via Stripe — see Third Parties)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your project data, photos, or scan data to train AI models without your explicit consent.
Where your data lives
ForemanBid is designed with an on-device-first architecture. Here is where each type of data resides:
| Data type | Where stored |
|---|---|
| Project docs & bids | iCloud Drive (your account) |
| Photos & LiDAR scans | On-device (iPhone) |
| Account profile | Ascentral servers (US) |
| Crash logs | Sentry (US) |
| Payment records | Stripe (when billing is active) |
| Website analytics | Vercel Analytics (aggregated, no PII) |
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your profile and server-side data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. On-device data (photos, scans) is deleted when you delete the app or remove the data within the app.
Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers below, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
Apple iCloud
Project documents and bid PDFs are stored in your personal iCloud Drive account under your Apple ID. Ascentral does not have access to your iCloud credentials. Apple’s privacy practices govern this data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
Sentry
We use Sentry for crash reporting and error monitoring. Sentry receives device type, iOS version, app version, and a stack trace when the app crashes. We configure Sentry to scrub personally identifiable information from payloads before transmission. Sentry is operated by Functional Software, Inc., US-based: sentry.io/privacy.
Stripe (pending — not yet active)
When paid features launch, payment processing will be handled by Stripe, Inc. ForemanBidwill never store raw card numbers. Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Vercel Analytics
The marketing website uses Vercel Analytics to count page views and referrers. No personally identifiable information is collected; data is aggregated before storage: vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy.
Supplier pricing APIs
To display live material prices, the app queries third-party supplier and pricing-data APIs. These requests include the material categories and approximate job-site region (city/state) you provide. No account credentials or personal profile data are transmitted to these APIs.
We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or social media platforms.
Access, deletion & portability
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA (California), or other applicable laws. Regardless of jurisdiction, we extend the following rights to all users:
Access
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
Correction
You may update your account information at any time within the app. Contact us to correct data you cannot edit yourself.
Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data. Requests are processed within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., financial records). On-device data is removed when you delete the app.
Portability
You may request an export of your project data in a machine-readable format (JSON or CSV). Project documents stored in iCloud Drive are already under your control through your Apple ID.
Opt-out (CCPA — California residents)
We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of for sale purposes. For other CCPA rights (know, delete, non-discrimination), contact us at the address below.
To exercise any right, email us at itsgianni@gmail.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.”
How we handle location
ForemanBid requests location permission solely to determine the county or municipality of your job site so we can surface relevant building codes, permit thresholds, and regional material pricing.
- Location is accessed only when you actively use a feature that requires it (e.g., “Find codes for this job site”).
- Precise GPS coordinates are processed on-device and are not transmitted to or stored on Ascentral servers.
- Only city/county-level jurisdiction data is sent to our backend or third-party code-lookup APIs.
- You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
COPPA — Users under 13
ForemanBid is a professional tool designed for licensed contractors, tradespeople, and construction professionals. The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at itsgianni@gmail.com and we will delete the data promptly.
How we protect your data
We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) for all server communications
- Encryption at rest for account data stored on Ascentral servers
- iCloud data is protected by Apple’s end-to-end encryption where applicable
- On-device data is protected by iOS device encryption
- Crash report data is scrubbed of identifiable information before transmission
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cross-border data flows
Ascentral LLC is based in Colorado, USA. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (where applicable) or your explicit consent as the lawful basis for international data transfers. Contact us if you have questions about the safeguards in place.
Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address on your account) or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

We aim to respond to all privacy inquiries within 30 days. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority if they believe we have not addressed their concern adequately.
